This series is a mixture of a few major themes; my love for all things vintage, nostalgia, and my adoration of all of the women in my life. I grew up around a lot of strong, inspiring, effortlessly elegant and compassionate women.

I’ve heard stories my whole life about women in my family who had passed before I got the chance to meet them and have always been infatuated with old photos of them. This collection is, in a way, a tribute to women in my family but also to my friends who went through girlhood with me and their mothers who helped raise me.

I remember thinking, “Gosh, I can’t wait to grow up and be just like that, she has it all figured out.” When in reality, they probably didn’t have it figured out and were just doing the best they could, which is comforting to understand now, as I’m figuring it out too.
